Overview

XPay is a fintech product from QuadX that streamlines digital payments and financial management, with secure transactions and account management on mobile and web.

I revamped the app's interface and experience, focusing on how people sign in and how they manage their accounts.

The Challenge

Changing business requirements created an opportunity to improve the existing experience. Two areas became particularly important:

  • Making account access faster and more flexible
  • Allowing users to manage multiple accounts within one interface

My Role

As lead designer, I worked across the UX and UI of the application. My responsibilities included:

  • Wireframing
  • Prototyping
  • Visual design
  • Exploring authentication flows
  • Designing account-management experiences
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams

Improving Login

Login used to mean email and password every time. I expanded the options so users can set up a 4-digit passcode or fingerprint login right from the login screen.

It's a safer and faster way in: more security, with less effort every time someone opens the app.

Managing Multiple Accounts

Users can now manage multiple accounts from a single interface: switch between them, monitor transactions, and handle their finances in one place instead of across separate experiences.

Staying in Control

Each virtual card can be locked and unlocked. Because locking has real consequences, it asks first, explaining that no one (including the owner) can use the card while it's locked and that its transactions will be blocked, and reassuring them it can be unlocked any time.

The Outcome

The designs were handed off to development: signing in with a 4-digit passcode or fingerprint instead of an email and password every time, every account managed from one place, and virtual cards that lock or unlock in a tap.
